Manifestation — it’s a buzzword that’s been tossed around in self-help books, social media posts, and spiritual communities. 'Just think positive thoughts,' they say. 'Visualize what you want, and it will come to you.' But let me be clear: general manifestations don't work. Not the way we've been told, at least. Manifestation requires more than wishful thinking. It requires action. It requires energy. It requires ritual. It requires the Power of Three.
Here’s what life coaches don’t always tell you — Manifestation isn’t just thinking something into existence. It’s not a wish; it’s work. And in occult practices, this process is ancient. It’s older than most of the modern 'manifestation' tips you’ve seen on TikTok or Instagram. In fact, we see the Power of Three in nearly every ancient magical system.
The Power of Three in Occult History
The number three has been regarded as sacred for thousands of years, spanning cultures, belief systems, and magical traditions. Consider these historical examples:
- The Greek Moirai: The three Fates who spin, measure, and cut the thread of life. Each Fate has a role — creation, measurement, and conclusion — a cycle that mirrors manifestation.
- Hekate: The goddess of witchcraft, often depicted with three faces representing past, present, and future. This reinforces the need to work with time and perspective in manifestation.
- Body, Mind, and Spirit: Across cultures, the holistic connection of these three elements is seen as essential to achieving balance and success.
Even in medieval spellwork, the concept of 'three' appeared frequently — three knots tied in cord magic, three days to cast a spell, and three repetitions of incantations. The number three is powerful, and it’s no accident that this power extends into manifestation techniques.
The Three Pillars of Manifestation: Speak, Do, Write
These three elements — Speak It, Do It, Write It — form the core of effective manifestation. Each plays a unique role, and together, they create a complete system for bringing your intentions into reality.
Think of it this way: If you’re only using one or two of these elements, you’re attempting to build a triangle with only one or two sides. It won’t hold. But when you use all three, you create a strong, stable foundation for your manifestations to thrive. This method taps into ancient magical principles and practical modern strategies, bridging the seen and unseen worlds. If you’ve been wondering why your manifestations feel incomplete, this is why.
So...Speak It. Do It. Write It — it’s how it’s always been done, and it’s how you’ll do it now. Keep reading to keep learning more and how to amplify your manifestations.
1. Speak It
Words have power. They always have. Since the dawn of human history, spoken word has been used for blessings, curses, oaths, and spells. To "speak it" means to mark your intention in reality through sound, vibration, and breath.
- Why it matters: When you say something aloud, you’re anchoring it in the physical world. It’s no longer an abstract idea. You’re using vibration to make it real.
- How to do it: Whisper, chant, or shout it — whatever feels right. The important part is the clarity of your intention. Don’t just say "I want more money." Say, "I am calling in $10,000 of financial security into my life."
2. Do It
This is where most people fail. Speaking is easy. Action is not. "Doing it" means performing rituals, taking mundane actions, and making intentional movements that reinforce your manifestation.
- Why it matters: Action is the bridge between the unseen (intention) and the seen (reality). Without action, your manifestation remains stuck in the energetic realm.
- How to do it: This could mean lighting a candle, arranging symbolic objects, creating sigils, or taking aligned steps in your everyday life. If you’re manifesting wealth, this might mean opening a savings account, networking for new job opportunities, or driving through a neighborhood with the home you desire to have one day. If you’re not moving, neither is your manifestation.
3. Write It
There’s a reason spellbooks, grimoires, and written contracts exist in every magical tradition. Writing is a way to turn the intangible into the tangible. By writing it, you’re committing it to reality.
- Why it matters: Written words exist in the physical world, just like sigils, petitions, and affirmations. Once it’s written, it’s no longer just an idea. Think of how architects use blueprints to turn a vision of a house into a tangible structure. Without the blueprint, the vision remains abstract. Writing your intentions serves the same purpose — it gives your vision structure and form.
- How to do it: Architects may start out with a simple sketch, but to help bring the entire vision to life, the blueprint draws the house as if it's already done — detailed, clear, and precise. Similarly, write your intention down as if it’s already done. Don’t say, "I want financial stability." Write, "I have financial stability. Money flows to me with ease." This subtle shift in language reinforces your belief that it’s already happening.
Infuse the Power of Three into your Manifestations
I’m not here to just talk about the Power of Three — I want to give you clear examples of spells and manifestations infused with this concept. All of these rituals incorporate all three pillars — Speak, Do, Write — activating the Power of Three into your daily life.
A Simple Spell for Manifesting Financial Security
Most people want financial security, and I get it — existing is expensive. Here’s a simple ritual you can do to manifest financial stability using the Power of Three.
Materials: 1 bay leaf, pen, fireproof bowl (or a safe place to burn the leaf), lighter or match
- Speak It: Hold the bay leaf in your hands and close your eyes. Visualize what financial stability looks like for you. Is it a certain amount in your savings? A steady stream of income? Be specific. Say aloud, "With this leaf, I call in financial stability, wealth, and security. As it burns, so it will be."
- Do It: Write your financial intention on the bay leaf. You can use words like "Wealth," "Stability," or "$10,000." Then, light the bay leaf on fire — safely, of course. As it burns, visualize your intention being carried into the ether with the smoke. The ash represents transformation from the material to the unseen.
- Write It: After the bay leaf is completely burned, take out your journal or even a scrap of paper. Write out your intention as if it’s already done. For example, "I have financial stability. Money flows to me with ease. I am secure." Write it with certainty and authority.
Protection Spell Using Knots
Materials: Cord, string, or ribbon
- Speak It: As you hold the string, say aloud, "With these knots, I weave protection into every aspect of my life. No harm shall pass these bindings."
- Do It: Tie three knots into the cord, each representing protection for body, mind, and spirit. With each knot, repeat your intention.
- Write It: Write a note with your intention for protection. Place the string in a safe space or carry it with you.
Self-Love Spell Using Mirrors
Materials: Small mirror, rose petals, white candle
- Speak It: Light the candle and hold the mirror in front of you. Say aloud, "I see myself as whole, worthy, and deserving of love. I am my own source of love."
- Do It: Arrange rose petals around the mirror as a symbolic circle of self-love. Gaze into the mirror for three minutes, focusing on positive thoughts about yourself.
- Write It: Write a love letter to yourself. Keep it somewhere you can read it when you’re feeling down.
Forget 'thinking positive' alone — that’s entry-level magic. Real manifestation requires the Power of Three. Tap into the ancient wisdom of spellwork. Follow this path, and you’ll never need to guess why something isn’t working again.
